John joined Martin & Gifford after founding his own firm and clerking for several judges at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He focuses his practice on real estate litigation at both the trial and appellate levels and drafting contracts and forms for real estate transactions. John has broad experience litigating cases in all of North Carolina’s courts, federal court, and the North Carolina Industrial Commission.

In his free time, John enjoys playing soccer, golfing, running, cycling, reading novels, and spending time with his family. Having grown up on a farm, John brings a small town, client-focused approach to cases, and is dedicated to making sure his clients get results.
